Position Overview:
We are looking for experienced math tutors to provide one-on-one online instruction to students at the middle school, high school, and college levels. As a SiSTEM tutor, you will help students build a strong foundation in mathematics, prepare for standardized tests, and develop critical thinking skills essential for future academic and professional success

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, personalized online tutoring sessions in mathematics
• Create customized learning plans based on individual student needs and goals
• Provide test preparation support for standardized math exams
• Track and document student progress
• Maintain regular communication with students and the SiSTEM team
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in any of the following:
  • Middle & High School Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics
  • College-Level Math: Calculus I, II, III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Advanced Statistics, Probability
• Test Prep: SAT Math, ACT Math, GRE Quantitative, GMAT Quantitative, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, state teaching exams
• Strong digital communication and virtual teaching skills using Zoom or Google Meet
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and educational technology
• Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for virtual sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching certification or formal educational training
• Experience with online tutoring platforms
• Familiarity with project-based and inquiry-based learning approaches
• Multilingual capabilities (especially Spanish)
