*Job Summary:* Fossil Fuel Coffee Co. seeks another barista to join our fantastic team! Our baristas are paid $11 per hour plus tips, making an average of $15+ per hour while creating delicious drinks and made-to-order paninis. This is also an excellent opportunity to grow into a career with a successful and growing company. Several of our baristas have moved on to become shift leads, bakers, and assistant manager. *This is a full-time day shift role, our shop is open 6am to 6pm.* Customer service is our top priority, and we have an amazing base of regular customers that are a pleasure to serve. Barista experience a plus but not necessary; we will train the right person.

• Responsibilities:*
• Summary: Prepares espresso drinks, infusions, and paninis according to recipes
• Assists with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; informs supervisor when supplies are low
• Ensures proper presentation, quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
• Handles foods items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
• Cleans the shop and equipment thoroughly in accordance with the opening, closing, and mid-day procedures
• Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris
• Interacts with customers in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
• Relays relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
• Consistently exhibits the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately, and efficiently
• Ensures that all drinks and food are presented, served, and displayed per standards
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring safety standards are followed
• Completes shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Qualifications:*
• High school student or higher
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
• This position will require frequent standing and use of hands and arms
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
• Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to adjust vision to both day and night lighting, and be able to focus on distant and close-range projects; regularly required to handle food, hot beverages, and work with sharp objects
• Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
