Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Administrative Assistant who is fluent in both Japanese and English. This role plays a key part in supporting our operations, communicating with international partners, and maintaining efficient day-to-day administrative processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, cultural fluency, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Los Angeles office, including scheduling, document preparation, and filing.
Serve as a liaison for Japanese-speaking vendors, customers, and internal staff, ensuring clear and professional communication.
Translate business documents and communications between Japanese and English as needed.
Coordinate logistics for shipments and assist with inventory tracking.
Support purchasing, invoicing, and data entry in coordination with the company's accounting and operations teams.
Assist in maintaining a professional and welcoming office environment.
Handle other duties as assigned in support of overall office efficiency and team goals.
Required Qualifications:
Fluency in Japanese and English (verbal and written) is essential.
Minimum 2 years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a logistics, distribution, or international business environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity when dealing with international partners.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in seafood, food distribution, or import/export operations.
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
