Job Description
Urgent Team is looking for a Billing Coordinator to join our growing Billing Department. This is a remote/WFH position open to candidates in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Arkansas.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is the liaison between their assigned Centers; both the Center Manager and Center Team Members, and the current electronic health record (EHR) system. This position is responsible for the communication and follow-up on all revenue-based reports utilized in the EHR to bill, provide referrals, lock charts, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivables Management background preferred
Liaison between the EHR and assigned Center Managers and Team Members
Responsible for generating reports on referrals, on-hold and un-locked charts
Responsible for the communication, follow-up and results of reports generated
Monitor assigned Centers accounts receivable (AR) to ensure timely filling is met
Maintain balance updates and account removals from third party collections agency
Re-issue any returned Patient statements for assigned Centers
Update new Patient bankruptcy notices
Responsible for follow-up on any outstanding AR from legacy system, if needed
Cross-train on the Occupational Health Billing Coordinator functions to serve as a back-up when needed
Answer and resolve patient phone calls in a timely manner
Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct, Mission and Valued Behaviors
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year experience handling billing and account receivables
Knowledge of all payer codes
Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices

*The hourly rate range for this position is $22.47 to $28.29 per hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation is determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.

Candidates must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions. Due to the sensitive nature of patient information, it is essential that the work environment ensures confidentiality and prevents unauthorized access. A quiet, secure setting is required to maintain privacy and comply with all relevant privacy regulations. In addition, candidates should have a reliable internet connection and be able to manage their time effectively to meet team goals.
