Job Description This position is responsible for efficiently supporting internal business applications, web reporting applications, mobile apps, and system interfaces for business process improvement with user training and support; providing user administration and provisioning support for those applications; developing business intelligence reporting requirements for internal use; and performing functional and user acceptance testing on applications (change requests, new functionality). Reports To: VP of IT Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Support business systems as first line of user support. Provide contextual advice for process improvement as it relates to systems usage or improvement opportunities (change requests). Assist in the design and implementation new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment including cloud backup solutions. Executing applications projects as defined by IT management. Collaborate with Business and Application Development teams on overall system improvements. Train users in proper use of business applications via one-on-one, virtual, and/or ‘classroom-style’ training sessions. Works closely with the IT Operations team in securing applications through enforcement of “least privilege” in user provisioning. Additional duties as assigned. Job Specifications: Knowledge: Understanding of Warehouse / Logistics Operations. Understanding of light manufacturing and related processes. Business process modeling and flowcharting. Basic understanding of relational databases and/or SQL. Basic understanding of Accounting and Finance practices is a plus but not required. Skills/Abilities: A minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience in a business analyst role, preferably in an industrial distribution company. Experience supporting enterprise-wide business applications. Technical capacity to learn new technologies. Familiarity with business process mapping and workflow concepts and tools. Develop and maintain documentation. Exceptional communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to adapt to changes quickly. Works independently as well as part of a team. Regard change as an opportunity and constantly adjust to it. Ability to travel internationally for project assignments. Education/Career Experience: Required – a minimum of 2 years of progressive professional experience. Bonus – Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
