Class B Commercial Driver - Construction and Industrial Supplies

SouthernCarlson, a national distributor of Fastening, Industrial and Packaging supplies, is seeking a Class B Delivery Driver.


Monday-Friday, Daytime Hours

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection of vehicle and merchandise to ensure road safety.
• Plan route to and from customers businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction.
• Ensure that daily manifests are complete and accurate.
• Safely transport merchandise to customers in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
• Load truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customer.
• Pull orders to match manifest.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatching and/or customers to resolve any delivery issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with flat bed, air brake, and manual transmission
• Must provide a clean DMV report
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds
• Must pass DOT compliance background check
• Must have a driving record in Good Standing
• Valid Class B license - Operate vehicle with GVW over 26,000 lbs with no restrictions.
• Forklift experience preferred
• Diligent attention to safety and detail
• Maintain a neat appearance consistent with the construction industry
