We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize robust data infrastructure and solutions that support business-critical operations. This role involves developing and managing scalable data pipelines, performing data modeling and transformation, and ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval using tools such as Databricks, SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of relational database architecture, data integration, and performance optimization, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions in support of enterprise and government initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems, including database modeling, design, relational database architecture, metadata, and repository creation and configuration management. Define and oversee database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation. Provide technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment. Advise application development staff and users on database solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and database operation and tuning. Design and implement databases considering access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methods. Utilize data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determine data storage needs and optimize storage requirements. Prepare system requirements, source analysis, and process analyses and designs throughout database implementation. Required Skills and Experience BA/BS degree and 1 year of relevant experience. Experience with DataBricks, SQL, Python. Applications development experience with database solutions, data architectures, database management system capabilities, and database tuning. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and organizational skills to ensure project success. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance. Desired Skills and Experience Successful development experience with the full lifecycle of government database management systems, including modeling, design, and configuration management.
