Job Description

Description Develop and implement enterprise data warehouse software for a university medical system, in order to enhance the usability, performance, and overall architecture of the data warehouse. Support initiatives that lead to clinical, financial and operational improvements through advancements in health informatics and analytics. Develop data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes between source and target data structures; perform data modeling and data mapping exercises. Design and develop data pipelines and processes that effectively populate the enterprise data warehouse and downstream data marts. Develop technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing, and other ETL-related activities. Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes. Collaborate with business analysts, data modelers, and solutions architects, and support junior developers.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field. Seven years of experience in job offered, or as a database developer, business intelligence analyst, clinical data system analyst or a related occupational title. The following skills require a set period of time as demonstration of expertise, which can be gained concurrently with the number of years of required experience, not in addition to. Seven years of experience designing, developing and supporting terabyte scale data warehouses. Seven years of demonstrated experience in SQL programming including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Seven years of demonstrated experience working with relational and dimensional modeling, data mining and ETL design processes. The following skills and experiences do not required a set period of time as demonstration of proficiency. Demonstrated expertise programming in languages including C# and Python. Experience in business intelligence tools including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. Demonstrated experience performing data analysis, data relationships, data aggregation and data summarization in order to consolidate data from disparate systems. Demonstrated expertise in database architecture, storage and query optimizer. Demonstrated experience working with reporting tools including Tableau and PowerBI.
