About The Role As a Human Resource Generalist , you’ll play a vital role in supporting our shop and office teams. You’ll be hands‑on with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits, and engagement activities, all while promoting a positive and productive work environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, solving problems, and driving employee success. What You’ll Do Partner with shop management and employees to build trust, resolve issues, and support HR needs. Manage recruiting and onboarding, including job postings, interviews, and new hire orientation. Coordinate employee engagement activities that strengthen culture and morale. Maintain accurate employee records and reports in our HRIS system. Communicate HR policies and provide guidance to managers and employees. Support leave of absence management and other employee programs. Participate in toolbox talks and internal communications. Build community connections to enhance Cooper Steel’s visibility and reputation. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field preferred. At least 1‑2 years of HR experience. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills. High attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent problem‑solving ability. A positive, self‑motivated attitude and a passion for helping others succeed.
