\n Position Overview:
\nThe Language Video-Telephone- Interpreter is responsible for handling calls on demand and renders the meaning of conversations between Karenic and English speakers. The interpreter breaks the communication barrier in various industries: Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, General Business, and 911. The interpreter processes information quickly and concisely and recognizes sensitive cultural differences. The interpreter is professional and courteous and uses appropriate, terminology and understands standard industry procedures and practices. The video and audio interpreting sessions may involve simple or complex, technical, or non-technical subjects. However, this position does not involve written translation; translators and other skilled linguists are encouraged to apply. The interpreters translate verbally.

• Handle video calls, interpreting conversations between individuals with limited English language skills and representatives from various industries such as Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, Law Enforcement, and others.\n

\n The successful candidate will possess the qualities below: \n\n

\n\t
• Fluent in speaking  Laotian  as well as English\n\t
• High school diploma or GED\n\t
• Knowledge of medical terminologies is considered an asset\n\t
• Be 18 years of age or older\n\t
• Available to work a fixed weekly schedule of a minimum of 20 hours per week\n\t
• Legally authorized to work in the US and must reside in the US\n\t
• Have a suitable quiet & secure work-at-home environment\n\t
• Have a stable and fast internet connection\n\t
• Comfortable being on camera as interpreting in video calls will be mandatory in this position\n
