Position Description
The Model Based Systems Engineer will develop engineered model-based systems using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) models in support of a wide variety of customer missions. They will apply deep understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) best practices to assess requirements, develop program-related SysML models. They will craft digital models (defining and analyzing behaviors, interfaces and parametric).

Position Duties/Responsibilities
The selected candidate(s) will help create, develop, and improve digital systems and tools, taking a lead role in overseeing the entire process from concept to implementation. They will configure and evaluate system architecture, and use modeling and testing to assess and refine designs.
Preferred candidates have experience with MBSE methods, Unified Modeling Language (UML) based modeling languages (e.g., Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and Risk Analysis and Assessment Modeling Language (RAAML)), tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rational, Sparks EA) and standards to build systems models. Familiarity with DoD Acquisition to include technical evaluations of contractor proposals. Experience with M&S including integration of descriptive and analytical models, and multiple M&S applications to perform more comprehensive simulations.
