Job Description:
The Hannibal Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Music Teacher specializing in Band to join our Music Department. We are proud of our ever-growing program and take great pride in offering a wide range of musical experiences to our students.
Our District is committed to equity and access in the arts. We maintain a large and diverse inventory of instruments available for student use throughout the year, ensuring all students have the opportunity to explore and grow as musicians regardless of background.
Position Details:
Location: Hannibal Middle School
Start Date: September 1, 2025
Position Type: Full-Time, Probationary (Tenure Track)
Certification Required: Valid New York State Certification in Music (K-12) or pending certification based on graduation date
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the middle school band program, including concert band and other ensembles as appropriate
Collaborate with fellow music educators to support a comprehensive, vertically aligned music curriculum
Provide students with engaging, standards-based instruction
Foster a love for music and performance through a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Participate in school-wide and community music events
