Temporary Payroll Specialist
Location: Bayonne, NJ (Hybrid 4 days onsite, 1 working from home)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Specialist to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payroll processing and strong knowledge of UKG Pro . This role is well-suited for someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple payroll groups with varying complexities.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve employee changes in UKG Pro and maintain supporting documentation in Excel

• Process payroll for groups ranging in number of employees

• Handle terminated employee vacation payouts and reconcile payroll for accuracy

• Set up and manage garnishments, including reviewing incoming mail for garnishment notices

• Review and process tax and agency notices, filings, and employment verifications

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulations

• Utilize Outlook for communication and task management

Qualifications:

• UKG Pro experience is required

• Strong payroll processing experience across varying employee group sizes

• Proficiency in Excel (reporting, tracking) and Outlook

• Experience handling garnishments, payroll reconciliations, and tax-related notices

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
