We are seeking a visionary Product Manager for our Medical Transcription Services to lead the transformation and modernization of our medical transcription operations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on product management, requiring a transformational leader who can drive technological innovation and support internal transformation while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance in medical documentation services. This role will provide support for the operations team.

Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Transformation

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for modernizing medical transcription services, including the implementation of AI, speech recognition, and automation technologies
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives to transition from traditional transcription models to technology-enabled hybrid solutions
  • Drive cultural transformation within the department to embrace innovation while maintaining quality and accuracy standards
  • Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure transformation success and operational excellence

Product Management

  • Serve as the primary product owner for medical transcription services, defining the product roadmap and feature prioritization
  • Serve as the liaison for the operations teams by collaborating with technology teams to integrate cutting-edge transcription technologies, including natural language processing and machine learning solutions
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in medical transcription technology
  • Manage product lifecycle from conception through implementation, including user acceptance testing and rollout strategies

Operational Excellence

  • Support the VP of Medical Transcription Services in delivering end-to-end medical transcription operations, ensuring consistent quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of services by providing transformational support
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance programs and compliance protocols
  • Optimize workflow processes and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Establish service level agreements and monitor performance against established benchmarks

Financial Performance

  • Support revenue growth through sales and marketing initiatives
  • Manage all vendors and associated costs related to the delivery of transcription services. Make decisions on build, partner, and buy for each capability
  • Ability to understand and translate financial metrics and trends into business results and impact for our clients and stakeholders

Subject Matter Expert

  • Acts as a resource for transcription team members and the business development team for questions regarding transcription business operations and strategy
  • Thought leader in transcription space. Advanced understanding and knowledge of the market competitive landscape, innovation trends, and overall direction of the transcription market

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in product management, responsible for driving a significant amount of change in go-to-market offering
  • 10+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry
  • Strong analytic skills and proven success leading process improvement initiatives and project management
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Private Pay, Liability, and Worker’s Compensation requirements and procedures, and diagnosis and medical terminology
  • Intermediate level of expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with HIPAA, HITECH, and patient confidentiality policies
  • Advanced knowledge of the revenue cycle is required; experience with ASC billing is preferred
  • Experience creating and delivering client-facing content and client presentations
