Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

This position is accountable to achieve strong, positive relations with customers by identifying customer requirements and expectations for Whitehall location products and by meeting these demands through leadership of the location's total quality efforts.

PREFFERED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

This position requires a knowledge of statistical techniques. Certification to ASQC standards is a plus. A bachelor's degree in a technical field or business management degree with 5 years of quality management experience in the automotive industry is required. Leading internal auditor training and experience is required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Management Representative with responsibility and authority to establish and maintain a quality system consistent with the IATF 16949 standard and/or customer specific requirements.

2. Evaluate and report to senior management personnel the performance of the quality system as a basis for quality improvement.

3. Prepare and monitor departmental budgets to enhance plant profitability in-line with corporate goals.

4. Responsible for ensuring processes, products, material and subcontracted components comply with AIAG PPAP requirements.

5. Provide leadership and direction on external customer concerns which require problem solving and onsite support to assure uninterrupted flow of product at the customer.

6. Provide resources necessary to maintain self-directed personnel to attain APQP and critical timeline commitments.

7. Manage the processing of returned material authorization and provides the customer and Hilite the required data supporting the return.

8. Support the senior management in the attainment of Hilite Business Plan Initiatives as required.

9. Responsible lead the Quality Department in Continuous Improvement "Kaizen" activities related to improvement objectives set forth in the Business Plan.
