Shipping Clerk

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

What You’ll Do

• Inspect & Verify : Match shipment contents with packing slips, manifests, and invoices.
• Document Prep : Create shipping documents including bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Package with Care : Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping according to standard procedures.
• Track & Report : Record shipment details—weights, freight charges, and discrepancies—for reporting and inventory accuracy.
• Problem Solve : Communicate with vendors or internal teams to resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Handle Product : Use hand trucks and other tools to move or stage materials.
• Select Shipping Methods : Identify the best carriers, routes, or rates for outgoing shipments.
• Assist as Needed : Support the team with additional tasks as required by management.

Skills We Value

• Experience in shipping, warehousing, or material handling.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and shipping platforms like FedEx , UPS , or Syteline .
• Familiarity with tools like hand trucks, tape guns, and label printers.
• Strong communication skills—written and verbal.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work orders, and pull sheets.
• Attention to detail is a must.

Requirements

• Education : High school diploma or GED.
• Physical Demands :
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs .
• Comfortable being on your feet for 8+ hours per day.
• Occasional desk work/data entry as needed.
