We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a PE license to join our vibrant team. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, experience, and creativity to a wide range of complex and exciting projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of building types. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of building types, ensuring all designs meet regulatory and client requirements.
  • Develop and create detailed electrical system design drawings and specifications, using computer-assisted engineering and design software.
  • Conduct detailed calculations to compute and establish construction and manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to establish the electrical engineering scope of work, schedule, and costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
  • Perform quality control checks, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all project work.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing expert advice and solutions.
  • Manage and supervise the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
  • Evaluate operational systems, recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing building electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in the design of power, lighting, fire alarm, electrical service, and security systems.
  • Proficiency in using electrical design software.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
