We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager for our thriving manufacturing division. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage a team of engineers in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the engineering function, including quality control, lean manufacturing, and team leadership. This is a key leadership role that requires a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, providing clear direction and inspiring them to achieve their best work.
- Oversee all engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures to minimize defects and waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to align engineering activities with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Monitor and report on engineering performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with quality control and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools.
- A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Professional engineering certification would be an advantage.
