We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. The ideal candidate will take ownership of key accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate with both local and international teams.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to support the month-end close process.
• Oversee inventory accounting and ensure proper maintenance of general ledger accounts.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable Manager to manage cash operations effectively.
• Handle intercompany transactions and manage accounting for multiple entities.
• Communicate and coordinate with overseas partners to ensure alignment on financial processes.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.• Proven experience in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing cash operations.
• Ability to manage accounting for multiple entities and handle intercompany transactions.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with international teams.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
