Day to Day:

• Here at Integrity, the Lab Department is responsible for compounding sterile, non-sterile, hazardous, and non-hazardous medications. We compound medications for patients with genetics, fertility, ophthalmology, dermatology, gynecology, urology, gastroenterology, hormone balance, and other needs.
• We are seeking a Sterile Compounder Lab Pharmacy Technician to join our team! The Sterile Compounder assists pharmacists by sterile compounding, stocking, labeling, maintaining records, processing prescriptions, and other duties as needed. While workflow is the main component of the position, special projects and cross-training are also required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile compounds and other healthcare products for patients.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment.
• Understand and perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.
• Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications using appropriate techniques and following company policies and procedures.
• Accurately calibrate equipment.
• Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
• Ensure that all pharmacy areas are cleaned per company policy.
• Prepare medications, under the supervision of a pharmacist, so that medications are accurately compounded.
• Process prescriptions using computer software.
• Adhere to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices.
• Comply with state and federal laws.
• Assist with the training and supervision of new pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Label and record dosage information.
• Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies.
• Effectively work within a lab team.
