Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of patient cases ranging from general emergencies to trauma. The role may involve floating to different departments as required and requires a strong background in emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and treat patients in a busy emergency department.


• Perform assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans.


• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.


• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.


• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience is required.


• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications are required.


• TNCC certification preferred.


• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory.


• Charge nurse experience is preferred.


• Experience in STEMI/stroke certified facilities is preferred.
