Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with prior travel experience, an active FL or compact RN license, and strong ortho, neuro, and robotic surgery skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with a focus on ortho, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotics cases
• 8-hour day shifts, 5 shifts per week, starting at 6:30 a.m.
• On-call required: one shift per week after scheduled day for 2-4 hours and 1-2 weekend 12-hour shifts per month
• Floating required, including possible float to sister campuses within a 15-20 minute distance
• Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience required
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• Expected to function as core staff and integrate into the team culture
• Must complete remote orientation starting on a Friday and be onsite for badge/ID
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• All time-off or schedule requests must be submitted prior to offer; no exceptions after submission
• Travelers are the first to float to other units or campuses
• Holiday coverage may be required
• First time travelers will not be considered for this role

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Certification required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Must have prior travel nursing experience
• Robotic and ortho/neuro surgery experience required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program or a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Must provide two professional references, with at least one from the past year
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; strict radius rule applies
