Registered Nurse – PACU (Night Shift)
Facility: St. Mary's Medical Center
Location: 2900 1st Ave, Huntington, WV 25702
Unit: 6218 | ICU / PACU
Shift: Night Shift – 4x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
Duration: 13 Weeks
License Required: Active WV or Compact RN License at the time of submission
Local Radius Rule: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no locals accepted)

Position Overview:

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for night shifts. This is a traveler-friendly assignment where the RN will primarily work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit but may also be responsible for managing ICU Holding patients with high acuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU and ICU Holding.
• Monitor post-operative patients’ vital signs and recovery progress.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations with appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with surgical and ICU teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in accordance with hospital protocols.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU and ICU nursing experience.
• Completion of ICU and PACU Skills Assessment is required prior to submission .
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred).
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• No on-call requirement.
