Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with an active AK RN license, ACLS, and BLS for a Level IV trauma hospital assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Operating Room within an acute care medical center and critical access hospital
• Day shifts are scheduled as 5x8s from 7:00 to 15:30
• Assignment includes on-call and weekend requirements
• Floating to other facilities within the state may be required
• Epic is used for charting and EMR experience is required
• Patient population served includes acute and surgical care cases
• No local candidates accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Facility-provided housing and rental vehicle are available for the duration of the assignment
• Scrub color may be any color or business casual attire as accepted
• Only the traveler is authorized to use the provided vehicle, which must remain within 30 miles of the facility
• Travelers must clean provided housing and vehicle before departure
• No pets allowed in housing and family members require prior approval
• Returning staff must have a 3-month gap before returning as a traveler
• Floating refusal may result in termination of assignment
• Minimal to no RTO is preferred; significant RTO may hinder consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active AK RN license is required (pending license accepted if application completed at time of consideration)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Recent OR experience and Epic charting skills required
