Job Description
The Workforce Classification Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance in the vetting project coordination of independent contractors (ICs) engagements, and other engagements which fall under the IES Outsourced Procurement Services model (IE: Corp to Corp, Sub-Vendor). This role supports operations by ensuring contract compliance, risk assessment process, and ensures appropriate workforce classification. This role will have working knowledge and experience in worker classification best practices, compliance audits, and risk mitigation strategies while maintaining strong communication and relationship management skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Contract Administration
- Assesses proper worker classification for Independent Contractor through review and analysis of project details, including questionnaire responses submitted by both Manager and Individual.
- During Qualification process, verifies contractors' certifications, licenses, insurance, and other.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and databases of vetted contractors, including tracking renewals and status changes.
- Support the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOWs), independent contractor agreements, and related documents.
- Communicate with contractors, clients, and internal teams to facilitate the vetting process and resolve issues quickly.
- Stay updated on global IC classification regulations and best practices for AOR and EOR services.
- Participate in compliance audits and contribute to continuous improvement of vetting processes.
- Provide administrative support to the Account Team during periods of high-volume vetting needs.
- Client Account Coordination
- Act as a key compliance liaison between independent contractors and external and internal stakeholders.
- Manage high-volume contractor engagements, meeting timeline requirements, and contractual SLA's.
- May be asked to support IES via presentations by advising on Classification rules, compliance risks and best practices.
- Responsible for review and providing feedback to IES Account Team as it relates to Data Integrity findings.
- Compliance Audits and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in scheduled audits of IC and Vendor contracts to ensure ongoing compliance with local jurisdictional regulations.
- Responsible for 100% accuracy for classification decisions, Defense File, onboarding compliance, and including contract execution (ICA and SOW).
- Participates in internal compliance audits to assess worker classification accuracy and documentation completeness.
- Stay up to date on legislative changes in workforce compliance (IC laws, misclassification penalties, contractor tax regulations).
- Responsible for data integrity and accuracy within IES systems and IES system reporting.
- Supports the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance checklists, continuous improvement with IES technology reporting, and adherence to organizational management for IES Defense File including legal risk assessments. Additional items, as to be identified.
- Supports the efforts to ensure a comprehensive database of all vetted contractors, including pro-active coordination for 6-month re-review of all Engagements.
- Assists in the pro-active tracking and coordination on Independent Contractor scheduled project ends (IE: Estimated End Date), extensions, and expirations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience with focus in areas such as HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in high volume IC vetting, workforce classification and compliance preferably in a global context.
- 2-5 years of experience reviewing and managing IC agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and risk mitigation processes.
- Industry knowledge of contractor misclassification risks, and legal compliance frameworks for mitigation of risks for this specific area.
- Ability to explain worker classification decisions to stakeholders in a clear and compliant manner.
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining contractor data accuracy and document compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail, data integrity, and ability to work in multiple Technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with contractors, clients, and internal teams.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft business suite applications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar software.
