Job Description
As a Yard Jockey, you will be a vital team member responsible for efficiently moving and organizing trailers within our yard. Utilizing your core skills in driving, truck driving, and commercial driving, you will safely maneuver tractor-trailers to designated locations.
Shift: 5pm- finished
Pay: $19hr/ with time and a half OT (OT every week)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate yard jockey equipment to move trailers within the yard.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently, ensuring proper distribution of weight.
- Conduct routine inspections on equipment to ensure functionality.
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and maintain workflow.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing duties.
Qualifications
-Previous experience as a Yard Jockey and or driving box trucks.
- Proven experience in driving tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles
- Experience in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred
- Proficiency in loading, unloading, and route driving
- Forklift certification is a plus
