\nWe’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join a clients’ team in Lyndhurst. This is a direct hire opportunity with long-term potential, offering a mix of accounting and administrative tasks along with exposure to light HR duties. You’ll work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller in a supportive environment where your contributions make a real impact.

\n What You’ll Do
\nAs an integral part of our small but busy team, your responsibilities will include:\n\n
    \n\t
  • Entering and processing vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency\n\t
  • Running and distributing recurring and ad-hoc reports\n\t
  • Processing customer credit card payments\n\t
  • Responding to billing inquiries and assisting with account follow-ups\n\t
  • Performing light collections and tracking past-due accounts\n\t
  • Sending customer notices and monthly statements\n\t
  • Maintaining organized digital and paper records\n\t
  • Assisting the Controller with HR-related duties, including:\n\t \n\t \n\t\n\t
  • Scheduling interviews and meetings\n\t
  • Onboarding new hires (documentation, welcome materials, coordination)\n\t
  • Supporting employee recordkeeping and administrative tasks\n

  • Providing general administrative support to the accounting and HR teams \n\n\t

    \n\t What We’re Looking For \n\n\t
      \n\t\t
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred , but not required—relevant experience is just as valuable\n\t\t
    • 1+ years of experience in accounting, administrative support, or HR coordination\n\t\t
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; familiarity with accounting or HR software is a plus\n\t\t
    • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills\n\t\t
    • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work both independently and as part of a team\n\t\t
    • A proactive, flexible, and friendly attitude\n\t
