Architectural Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Architectural Rendering Specialist to join our design team. This role involves transforming architectural concepts into visually compelling 2D and 3D renderings that support design development, client presentations, and marketing efforts. You will collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to bring ideas to life through visualizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality 2D and 3D renderings of architectural designs using industry-standard software.
  • Apply textures, lighting, and environmental effects to enhance realism.
  • Produce animations and virtual walkthroughs of proposed spaces.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to interpret design intent.
  • Revise renderings based on feedback from stakeholders.
  • Maintain a library of materials, textures, and lighting presets.
  • Stay current with rendering technologies and visualization trends.
  • Present final renderings to clients and internal teams.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, and Revit.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and spatial composition.
  • Excellent eye for detail, realism, and aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic programming skills.
  • Experience in space planning.
  • Knowledge of construction documents, permitting, and planning documents.
  • Proficiency in code analysis and working with jurisdictions.
  • Drafting and detailing skills.
  • Experience in working with redlines made by project architects.

Work Environment:

The role offers a hybrid work policy with up to two days per week of your choosing to work remotely. Most employees arrive between 8:30 am and 9:00 am and leave by 5:30 pm. Work is mostly done independently, with opportunities to draw from the expertise of other office staff when needed. The team is expected to grow, and this position is a vital step in that direction.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
