Assistant Property Manager – Westlake Village

A Real Estate Investment and Property Management firm is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Westlake Village. Our client is looking for a positive, customer-focused professional who can balance multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to tenants, owners, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily property operations, including tenant relations, vendor coordination, and management support.

• Manage CAM reconciliations, budgets, and invoice processing for accounts payable.

• Handle tenant move-in/move-out processes and maintain accurate lease/insurance documentation.

• Process work orders, oversee budget reviews, and assist with operating expense estimates.

• Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and upper management while ensuring timely follow-up and organization.

• Support financial reporting and property budget preparation.

• Maintain oversight of building systems (elevators, fire-life-safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

Qualifications

• Prior Assistant Property Management experience required .

• Strong knowledge of CAM, budgets, and commercial leases.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet research.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently with a team-oriented mindset.

• Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
