Job Description

Position Objective:

To promote the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health care through the provision of expert clinical education and professional development. Collaborates with leadership team, clinical education team, and clinical staff in: the planning and implementation of organizational and departmental goals, creating a climate of innovation through role-modeling, consultation, research, and the facilitation of learning.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Provides professional support to internal and external customers that meet the needs of their diverse age and cultural backgrounds. Acts as a resource for staff members.
2. Demonstrates ability to assess the need for, plan, implement and evaluate high-quality, cost-effective educational programs for staff. Maintain educational records.
3. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation programs for new staff.
4. Assists in development of competencies for clinical staff. Collaborates with other departments/nursing areas to ensure consistency and to avoid duplication.
5. Promotes the advancement of nurses by offering a variety of learning opportunities planned for nurses in different stages of the Novice to Expert continuum.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing.
• Master`s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Professional Development Certification preferred.
• Minimum of three as a Registered Nurse in acute care setting.

Required License/Certifications:

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
• Specialty Certification required.
• Professional Organization Membership required. 
• Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Adherence to credentialing requirements of Luminis Health's as stated in the nursing bylaws.

Pay Range

$83,000—$124,000 USD
