Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

Hourly Range: $34.65 - $35.69

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a compassionate and caring environment for patients and their families, as well as for colleagues. This position values each employee's contributions to the overall mission of excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications; start IVs and perform necessary treatments and procedures in compliance with company policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions accurately.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to the care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care effectively.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered by the physician.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, organization, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply these in enhancing patient care quality.
