The Patient Access Float has the ability to cover all aspect of the department. Duties may include checking patients in timely for their appointments. Registers all new and established patient, enters and verifies patient demographics, and verifies insurance code, policy, group, etc. May collect necessary copay, collecting of money due, posting of money collected, closing out and balancing at the end of each day. The Patient Access Float performs clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, answering telephones, computer data entry, charge entry and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience Preferred: 1-2 Years Related Experience Skills Excellent Verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Proficient using computers 10-key, credit card machine and document/check scanner experience Licensure/Certification/Registration N/A
