Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on diesel vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Inspect, test, and align suspension systems
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Fabricate and weld metal parts as needed
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and make necessary adjustments
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other related systems
- Proficiency in performing tire service, including mounting, balancing, and alignment
- Ability to assemble and disassemble complex machinery
- Experience in equipment repair, preferably in a dealership or similar setting
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients
