Digital Forensics Incident Response Consultant at Verizon Verizon invites experienced cybersecurity professionals to join our Professional Services team. You will perform incident response and digital forensic activities for Verizon customers, helping manage and investigate cybersecurity incidents. Responsibilities Perform incident response and digital forensic activities for PS engagements. Review logs (CSV, TSV, JSON, syslog) and conduct investigations using SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Sentinel, ELK. Conduct forensics on Windows, Linux, macOS, and mobile devices. Use EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Trend Micro) for threat hunting. Leverage Microsoft cloud (M365, Azure) and AWS cloud (GuardDuty, CloudWatch, IAM, WAF) skills. Participate in global or onsite security assessments and attend meetings to discuss security initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of work experience. Four+ years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity, incident response, triaging, or investigations. Experience in enterprise environments and with clients providing proactive cybersecurity services. Technical certifications in incident handling, forensics, malware reverse engineering, or forensic tool training. Strong analytical, qualitative, and quantitative reasoning skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences. Preferred Experience with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Sleuth Kit, Volatility, Axiom, Cellebrite, Black Light, X-Ways. Experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS, DLP, memory analysis, and enterprise cloud infrastructures. Knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, packet capture, and TCP/UDP traffic flow analysis. Salary range for this full‑time position is $81,000.00 – $155,000.00 based on location and experience.
