Digital Marketing Manager

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP) is seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Marketing Manager to lead day-to-day execution of our social media, website, email, and digital advertising efforts. This hands-on role blends content creation with campaign management, helping to tell the story of Downtown Pittsburgh in dynamic, engaging ways.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager will create and publish original content, manage campaigns, track performance, and amplify PDP's strategic vision through compelling digital storytelling. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative and analytical, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys capturing the energy of live events.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Execute PDP's social media strategy to grow presence, engagement, and reach across platforms.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with organizational goals and events.
  • Capture and edit photos, videos, and graphics for real-time and planned content.
  • Monitor and engage with PDP's online community, responding strategically to comments and inquiries.
  • Track and report KPIs; adjust tactics to optimize performance.
  • Run paid social campaigns, including boosting and targeted ads.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging social media trends.
  • Collaborate with influencers and partners to expand reach.

Website Content & Management

  • Update and manage website content via WordPress CMS.
  • Ensure accuracy, relevance, and brand alignment across all pages.
  • Apply SEO best practices to improve visibility and usability.

Email Marketing

  • Plan, write, and design email campaigns including newsletters, promotions, and event announcements.
  • Use segmentation and A/B testing to improve engagement.
  • Monitor analytics and adjust strategies for optimal performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 25 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills for digital platforms.
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and CRM tools.
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) strongly preferred.
  • Photography and video production/editing skills for digital use.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and WordPress CMS.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using social and web analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.

Compensation

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Health insurance (95%), Flexible Spending Accounts, 401k, life insurance, short and long-term disability. Starting at 16 PTO/Vacation days and 13 paid holidays per year.
