What You’ll Do

As the Executive Sous Chef, you’ll be the driving force behind the day-to-day success of our kitchen and a trusted partner to the Executive Chef. You will:

• Lead and inspire the culinary team through hands-on management, mentoring, and training.
• Oversee food preparation and production for all outlets, ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence .
• Maintain impeccable standards of sanitation, safety, and organization in all kitchen areas.
• Control food and labor costs while maximizing productivity and profitability.
• Uphold Hilton’s culinary standards by guaranteeing that every dish—whether à la carte, buffet, or banquet—is delivered with flawless presentation and outstanding flavor .
• Step confidently into the Executive Chef role during his/her absence, maintaining seamless operations and leadership continuity.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to create innovative menus and seasonal offerings that celebrate Alaska’s unique ingredients and local flair .

What We’re Looking For

• Culinary excellence: 2–5 years in fine dining or high-volume hotel kitchens, with prior leadership experience.
• Leadership presence: A calm, confident professional who motivates by example and cultivates teamwork.
• Operational acumen: Skilled in cost control, inventory management, and quality assurance.
• Certified expertise: Current Safe Food Handling Certification.
• Physical endurance: Able to stand, bend, and work extended hours in a fast-paced, high-heat environment.
• Communication and collaboration: Clear, professional, and effective across all departments and guest interactions.
