Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Titusville, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
You will be actively involved in daily golf course maintenance while leading your equipment operators and technicians. You’ll take responsibility for safety, quality, production, and efficiency—all while fostering a positive, can-do environment. Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations, including profit and loss management and personnel leadership
Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:
• Planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees, and fairways, with a focus on salt water-affected turf.
• Overseeing production staff and ensuring the proper use of equipment.
• Managing all production staff work schedules.
• Instructing equipment operators on proper equipment handling.
• Supervising pesticide applications and/or operating and calibrating pesticide application equipment.
• Overseeing hydraulic irrigation and drainage systems, ensuring they operate effectively, and coordinating the installation of the new irrigation system.
• Driving a culture of safety among your production team through continuous training and leading by example.
• Building strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
• Making sure the golf course meets the quality standards.
• Handling timekeeping records accurately and on schedule.
• Coaching and developing your production team members.
• Providing hands-on training for new and experienced team members to set them up for success.
• Interviewing, selecting, and helping to onboard new team members, ensuring they have a great start.
• Taking on other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Requirements:
Associates Degree in Turf Management or comparable experience.
Specialty in:
Turfgrass maintenance programs.
Personnel management.
Budget/forecasting.
Financial management.
Scheduling/maintenance of the irrigation system.
Pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Record keeping and compliance of regulatory issues.
Compensation:
$65,000 – $85,000 per year.
