For more information visit our website at The primary responsibilities for this position entail assisting the Executive Art Director directly, and supporting other senior staff with interiors and jacket design for middle grade, teen, and picture books. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with Editorial, Production, Prepress, and Managing Editorial groups, assisting with the creation, archiving, and routing of book assets, and assisting with the process of commissioning artwork. The ideal candidate should love books, illustration (both in picture books and generally), graphic design, and fonts/letterforms. In this role, you will learn how to art direct and heighten visual storytelling. Requirements: Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite is required (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). Must be highly organized, able to multitask, good under pressure, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Entry level or up to 2 years relevant experience.
