JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Creative Services is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer for our in-house design group in Charlotte, NC.  The Creative Services group is a centralized resource within FOX Sports, supporting remote productions for FOX NFL, FOX NASCAR, FOX MLB, FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL, studio-based shows including THE HERD, THE FACILITY, FIRST THINGS FIRST, and many other clients .  Our responsibilities include on-air branding, graphics development, set design, information graphics systems, AR and XR graphics, software development, and production management. 

As a Motion Graphics Designer, you’ll join a dynamic team of designers and production staff in Charlotte, NC, supporting a variety of clients across the FOX Sports family of networks, including remote and studio productions, as well as our sales and marketing teams.  Working alongside the Creative Director, Design Directors, and our production management team, the Motion Graphics Designer is also responsible for maintaining design standards and production value. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/Creative Director.

Candidates must show proficiency in design acumen on all relevant software platforms via a shareable link, demo reel, or portfolio.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design animated and static graphics for use on air across FOX Sports studio and remote productions, working in both teams and as an individual
• Execute and expand on existing designs to flush out graphic packages while maintaining design consistency
• Collaborate directly with feature producers on edits and specialty graphics requests
• Work alongside project managers to ensure the accuracy of graphics elements
• Maintain individual design files and assist with overall project organization

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 3+ years in broadcast design and production
• Excellent design skills, with a strong sense for layout and typography, as well as 3D modeling and animation
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Cinema 4D
• Highly organized and motivated to work in a creative environment
• Ability to work within strict timelines in an organized manner
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a time-sensitive, high-pressure environment
• Team player and have the ability to communicate with other groups inside and outside our department, both verbally and in writing
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, holidays, or weekends

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
• Understanding of Unreal Engine and Adobe Substance Painter
• General sports knowledge
