Job Description Material Handler / Forklift Operator Automation Personnel Services is looking for Material Handlers/Forklift Drivers for our company based in North Houston, TX...to obtain a position as an Material Handler and Forklift Operator where someone can apply their skills in inventory handling, forklift operation, and order accuracy to support efficient warehouse operations, contribute to team productivity, and uphold safety standards.
Pay Rate $17-18 (depending on experience)
Schedule and Hours We need someone able to be flexible around either shift mentioned below, as we would place someone on the shift where there is the most needed after completing the first week of training when hired.
• Monday to Friday (some Saturdays)
2nd Shift: 10am - 7pm
3rd Shift: 1pm - 10pm
Material Handler / Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities • Order Selection: Use reach truck and sit-down forklift to pick and palletize customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Material Handling: Move, stack, and organize products throughout the warehouse.
• Shrink Wrapping & Packing: Prepare pallets for shipment by wrapping and labeling.
• RF Scanner Use: Operate handheld scanners to track inventory and confirm order accuracy.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety protocols and wear appropriate gear.
Material Handler / Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements • Reach Truck: Ideal for accessing high shelves in narrow aisles.
• Sit-Down Forklift: Used for transporting heavier loads across the warehouse floor.
• Order Picker: May be used to retrieve individual items from racks.
• 2+ years of experience operating reach trucks and sit-down forklifts.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good job tenure and reliability.
• Background is required.
• Drug screening is required.
