Department Information Kennesaw State University's Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering educates tomorrow's engineers for excellence in advanced manufacturing, robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. The department offers a Master's in Intelligent Robotic Systems, a Minor in Biomedical Engineering, a Robotics Programming Certificate, and the nation's most popular Bachelor's in Mechatronics Engineering. Courses, labs, and research opportunities cover development from concept to prototyping to full-scale manufacturing. The department offers: A cutting-edge curriculum aligned with current industry needs and trends; A unique integration of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science for holistic mechatronics knowledge; Hands-on laboratory experiences in every mechatronics course; and Opportunities for innovative research in state-of-the-art labs and dedicated research centers. Job Summary Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering for the academic year 2025-2026. Positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia. Responsibilities Teaching one or more undergraduate or graduate courses in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering areas such as Mechatronics Engineering Fundamentals and Modeling & Feedback Control. Undergraduate courses are face-to-face or partially online and taught both during the day and in the evening. Graduate courses are hybrid with both online and in-person students. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Qualifications To teach undergraduate courses: A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Robotics or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire. To teach graduate courses: A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Robotics or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
