💼 Key Responsibilities:As a Public Relations Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in amplifying community impact and nonprofit visibility:
Assist in planning, developing, and executing PR campaigns that raise awareness for nonprofit missions
Represent partner organizations at events, outreach programs , and press opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, journalists, influencers , and community leaders
Write and edit press releases, newsletters, social media content , and campaign communications
Help coordinate event logistics , promotional strategies, and on-site public engagement
Monitor media coverage , analyze public sentiment, and prepare performance reports
Collaborate with marketing, outreach, and leadership teams to ensure clear, consistent messaging
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passionate about public service, nonprofit work, and social impact causes
Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities
Comfortable working in fast-paced, mission-driven environments
Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful campaigns
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
Bonus: Coursework or background in communications, PR, journalism, or marketing is a plus—but not required
