The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology is recruiting for a part-time Research Assistant in the Leukemia and Drug Development Laboratory (LDDL). This Research Assistant would primarily assist the Murine Research Team within the LDDL.
Essential Functions - Contribute to the collective team effort.
- Organize research results and data according to good laboratory management practices.
- Conduct murine modeling of heme malignancy models (i.e. breeding schemes, husbandry, transgenes, and general murine colony maintenance).
- Participate in molecular biology techniques (genotyping, solution making, western blotting, tissue culture, etc...).
- Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, interpret data, and assist in judging validity of data.
- Analyze research results.
- Work on assigned projects and troubleshoot problems.
- Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education - Bachelor's Degree.
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
Additional Qualifications Considered Experience using software to track research results and physical inventory.
