Senior Supply Chain Manager - Food Manufacturing Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply planning process. This role will be crucial in ensuring smooth production scheduling, efficient replenishment of raw materials and packaging supplies, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on maintaining high customer service levels and reducing supply chain inefficiencies.

Location: Greenville, SC – This is an onsite role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute supply planning strategies that align with organizational objectives and customer demand.
  • Oversee replenishment planning for raw materials and packaging supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Lead master production scheduling (MPS) for finished goods manufacturing, balancing supply and demand effectively.
  • Facilitate Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) alignment by collaborating with demand planning, procurement, operations, and logistics teams.
  • Implement best practices for inventory management to maintain healthy stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
  • Use data analytics and forecasting tools to improve planning accuracy, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain reliability.
  • Ensure customer order fulfillment performance exceeds service level targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production scheduling.
  • Proactively mitigate aging inventory risks and work to improve inventory turnover.
  • Utilize ERP systems and supply chain planning tools to support decision-making and enhance planning capabilities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Manage 4 Supply Chain Managers located at each company facility.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, and production scheduling, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing supply planning and scheduling teams.
  • Proven expertise in S&OP processes, production planning, and supply chain optimization.
  • Strong background in inventory control strategies, demand forecasting, and supplier collaboration.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in supply chain planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on results.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex supply chain environment and drive process improvements.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
