The Bureau of Communications plays a key role in the NYC Health Department's public health messaging. Communications leads the agency's public messaging initiatives and manages the agency's most critical interactions with the public, from raising awareness and promoting healthy behaviors to responding to health emergencies, including COVID-19 and other infectious disease outbreaks. Communications also works with every division to create materials to meet the agency's goals of protecting and promoting the health of all New Yorkers.
