LOCATION: Peoria, IL

JOB SUMMARY FOR Test Analyst:

• Seeking a QA Test Analyst to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage and effective identification of defects.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with QA testing, software or application development, and automated testing.
• This position is fully remote; candidates must be able to work in CST time.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR Test Analyst:

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage and effective identification of defects.
• Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and usability testing, to ensure that they meet the desired quality standards.
• Proactively develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
• Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing, ensuring they are accurately documented, prioritized, and communicated to the development team for resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, provide feedback on design and implementation, and ensure that quality is embedded throughout the development process.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, to provide visibility into the testing process and support decision-making.
• Participate in post-release reviews, retrospectives, and other quality-related activities to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and enhance the overall quality assurance process.
• Monitor and analyze application performance under various conditions, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to ensure that the application meets performance requirements.

JOB EXPERIENCE FOR Test Analyst:

• Four-year degree within an accredited College or University in STEM. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
• 5 plus years of software or application development

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR Test Analyst:

• Test Automation: Proficiency in test automation tools
• Knowledge of frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Pytest.
• Familiarity with various manual testing techniques
• Knowledge with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git or GitHub)
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and tools / systems like (Jenkins, Bamboo, or CircleCI)
• Experience with Selenium
• Strong Proficiency and experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner. (Strong experience with JMeter is a must)
• Strong knowledge of API testing tools like Postman
• Familiarity with security testing tools and best practices, such as OWASP Top Ten
• Experience with SQL DB and with OAuth
• Prior experience with Agile development (SCRUM)
• Prior experience with Azure Cloud (Desired)
• Must be proactive and able to work well with a team
• Communication skills: ability to be fully engaged with agile team members and interact in public problem resolution
• Must be an active listener and thorough problem solver
• Exceptional time management skills
• Ability to adherence to new processes
• Ability to analyze complex systems
• Excellent attention to detail skills
