• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing\n
• Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma Center, Children's Hospital, Teaching Hospital\n
• Start Date: March 23, 2026\n
• End Date: June 22, 2026\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Shifts: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 36 or 48 hours per week\n
• Patient Ratios: 1:5\n
• Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract)\n
• Weekend Coverage: Required as scheduled (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights)\n
• Charting System: Cerner\n
• Scrub Color: Black\n
• Parking: Free onsite parking\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – NM or compact state (NM license can be pending at submission)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Level I Trauma experience preferred; will consider 1.5 years for exceptional candidates)\n
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred\n
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission), NIHSS (can be obtained before compliance deadline)\n
• Experience with Level II Trauma required; Level I Trauma preferred\n
• Ability to float to Adult PCUs and ED Holding as needed\n
• No local candidates within 75 miles\n
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)\n
• Valid driver’s license or transportation plan required\n
• Bar Code Medication scanning proficiency expected\n
• Compliance with facility onboarding and documentation deadlines\n

\n\nER Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population\n
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights\n
• Accurately document and communicate clinical findings\n
• Respond to trauma and resuscitation situations as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team\n
• Care for patients with trauma, neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, STEMI, stroke, and other acute diagnoses\n
• Perform arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and procedural sedation\n
• Float to Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and other units as needed\n
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions\n
• Participate in orientation and ongoing education modules\n
