Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III Neonatal ICU and Transport position with at least 3 years of NICU and transport experience and multi-state RN licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 18 beds and a dedicated neonatal operating room
  • Primarily assigned to NICU duties with approximately four neonatal transports per month, mostly air
  • Care for critically ill or premature newborns, 22 weeks gestation and greater
  • 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every 3rd weekend and holiday required
  • No on-call or call-back responsibilities
  • Participate in air and ground neonatal transports to and from surrounding facilities
  • Perform bedside procedures such as IV starts, medication calculations, and administration
  • Provide neonatal resuscitation and support to families in end-of-life care situations
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
  • Scrub requirement: navy blue bottoms with white or black tops
  • Must begin medical compliance process within 48 hours of offer acceptance
  • Orientation hours are not guaranteed during weeks when the unit is closed
  • Team operates in a highly specialized, family-centered environment

  • Active, permanent RN licenses in WI, IA, and MN (no temporary licenses accepted)
  • Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
  • AHA PALS, STABLE, and CNPT certifications preferred
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years RN experience and at least 3 years NICU experience required
  • Previous neonatal transport experience required
  • Must possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills
