**Contract Length:** 13 weeks
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) to join our team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will operate primarily during the night shift, working three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekdays, some weekends, and holidays within the contract period.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide respiratory care to patients, with a strong focus on ventilator management and pulmonary function testing (PFT).
- Administer treatments and assess patient needs while ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Work independently as the sole therapist on weekends, delivering high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
**Qualifications:**
- Active Virginia State license in respiratory therapy.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a respiratory therapy role; candidates with one year of experience will be considered if they possess ventilator experience and pediatric exposure.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS or NRP (must be current and in hand prior to the start date).
- Experience with ventilators is required.
- Travel nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
**Additional Details:**
- Candidates must provide a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility in order to submit.
- Flu vaccine is required unless a medical exemption is provided.
- Upon submission, the full application file is due by noon on the Monday prior to the start date. Insufficient documentation will result in a two-week delay.
- Orientation will be conducted biweekly on Thursdays.
