Overview:

The team member will use Novant Health’s First Do No Harm (NHFDNH) safety behaviors/error prevention tools and high reliability strategies as appropriate to ensure a safe, remarkable patient experience. 

With minimal supervision, provide individual and family support services, teach classes, organize and implement the patient education programs. Will complete a minimum of 5 education sessions per day. Perform follow-up calls after the patient receives treatment. May have to float to other facilities to provide education. Ability to collaborate with medical staff in different departments throughout Novant Health. In rare situations RN may be required to jump into staffing.

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred -3 years experience in Oncology.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
